I'd taken a quick time off from the world of blogging mainly due to my dsl line problem at home and the slowliness of Jaring's dial up. There are so many things I wanna write...I don't even know where to start.
Saturday
Went to Jusco Cheras Selatan for movies. Planned with my friend Has to watch 3 movies, Beowulf, Enchanted and Bee Movie. The last movie that I watched was .... I can't remember but it was before Ramadhan. Anyway just ended up with only 2 movies coz Bee Movie seats were almost full. I love everything about Enchanted!! Almost pee in my pant for laughing like mad. Beowulf tu so-so la but the graphics are fantastic. I'll try to make a review for these movies in another post.
The traffic jams on route to city center were terrible even after 9pm. Has and I were stucked more than 30 minutes in traffic on our way back home. The HINDRAF rally really got to my nerves. Cant helped boiling everytime I watched the news. What happen to my beloved country...is this the present we get for our 50th independence? Some Malaysians just become stupid and more stupid each day...nincompoops!!! Ahhh I don't wanna talk about this...spoil my mood je.
Monday
Still patah kaki...been more than 3 weeks now the car stranded in workshop. It taken more time than promised by that Ah So. So for the first time after more than a year I decided to have a "public transport day". I had Danone's product survey group discussion in Uptown at 9:30am so I left home 10 minutes before 7am. Took the first bus to Ampang and board the next bus to KLCC. Then I took LRT to Kelana Jaya station and then hailed a taxi to Uptown. I arrived 45 minutes early. Discussion ended around 11:30am. Me and 2 of my new friends from the group shared taxi fare to the nearest Putra LRT. I went back to KLCC and had lunch at Secret Recipe with my cousin at AvenueK. It was my first time there believe it or not. Then I took a bus to Bukit Bintang and walkd to Low yatt. I bought ADSL modem and PCI to USB device. Turned out I got the wrong USB. Didn't know there are different types of USB. After Low Yatt I took a bus again and headed to Selangor Dredging to get a free ride home in Pidah's auto hehehehe. Had a light reading at British Counsil while waiting for her to finished work. Her office is somewhere in the building.
In 1 day I had my journey on busses, taxis and LRT. The costs? RM2 for Utama bus, RM2 for Bandar bus and RM4.80 for lrt trip to and from KLCC to Kelana Jaya. Total up to RM8.80 for Rapid KL fare plus RM7 for taxis to and from Kelana Jaya station and Uptown. Sum up to RM15.80 for public transport fares in 1 day. I should have taken the All-Day Sepadu Ticket which cost only RM7 so I could save RM1.80 on Rapid KL.
The experience? Priceless! As usual I had my motion sickness few minutes after I board the first bus. To make it worse I sat on backward position on the second bus. But I reached the final stage of sickness (which mean puking) when an Indonesian guy with bad BO stand in front of me but I managed to put myself together and braved the unfortunate event and arrived safely without a puke on my tudung. Still hate waiting for busses. There were so many busses around but none of it the one I was waiting for...how ironic.
Aiya too sleepy to blog la...already 3am. I can hear the sound of a snoring coockoo outside. So I'll continue later.

Dunno What to put as Title
I'm still using the dial up connection...can't figure out what happen to my broadband tho I strongly believe it has something to do with my phone line. Nevermind...I just couldn't bother bout it at the mo.
I'm supposed to be writing about the trip I made with my cousin Pidah to Gambang (somewhere near Kuantan, Pahang) last weekend. I accompanied her to send her sister (my other cousin that is) who is studying in a college over there. You might realised that her name (Pidah) kept popping up in almost every post I made. Well...she's my best buddy what can I say. She's not only my cousin...she's my friend and a sister to me. Some friends come and go but when you were bonded by blood, the friendship kinda stays in you. I've many cousins but our a year age differences made us closer than other cousins.
Back to the trip thingy...I snapped quite a number of cool scenery pictures behind the window glass of Pidah's new car. Yep...when I said new...I mean it! very NEW. Infact she just got it a day before our trip. I'm so proud of her...now she got an asset (also a liability all in one. Oopss...sorry mate). Oh ya...actually we went to Tanjung Karang first on Saturday and made the trip to Pahang the next day straight from there. I'll post the pix as soon as I make the upload which I don't know when *sigh* dang.
I was so tense these pass few days and yesterday I decided to go for a massage. Went to the usual massage place in Taman Maluri called Absolute Relaxation (a blind massages centre). I wish I could go there every week to pamper myself instead of going only when my body ache or my mussles tense. Til now I can still feel the hands that massaged my shoulder and neck yesterday...hmmm...
I'm still patah kaki...just checked the car yesterday and by the look at the condition...it might take another week to complete!!! Huaaaa Zalim gilos...I am soooooooooo desperate to drive again. Thank goodness Pidah let me drove her car (not the new one la...) to Tanjung Karang last Saturday where we drove separately..."lepas gian" as the malay said it.
What else to write? Hmmm I think that is all. I had a boring life so not much to put in here. By the way Miss A, now you know why I didn't blog. I am still stranded at home. No I haven't start working yet...and no I'm not busy with work coz I'm still out of job...but yea...I started the web project trial...a day before ahaksss!!! and I'll make sure to put it on that freelance site ASAP. I lost my list of designs "again" when I reformatted my PC last month coz I put everything in C drive instead of D drive. Learnt my lesson but can't help repeating the same carelessness all over again. Not that history repeats itself but bad habit die hard *wink*.
So alright folks! thanks for reading this. Appreciate it :)

No Broadband...Dial Up kan ada....
My broadband connection decided to go on strike since yesterday. Now I am using dial up connection. Dang too slow to surf. Wonder how I got along with this kinda speed years ago when chatting was my life and Internet was my heart and soul.
Nothing to blog anyway...just that I'm a little upset coz I've been "patah kaki" almost 2 weeks now. I miss driving. I'm singing "rain rain go awayyyyy.....come again another day....". Why rain? Coz the car is being sent to workshop for body paint. That Apek told me all depends on whether it rain or shine to complete the work. Its been raining almost everyday this week so :( I can do the math myself...it going to take another week to get that car back huaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
What else to post? Hmmmm nothing lah...so later-later la I sambung. Takde mood. Wait til I get new adsl modem kot baru boleh blog balik? Tension sehhh....

Ampang's Sloppy Joe
Tried my first Ampang's "Sloppy Joe" 2 hours ago...with great dissapointment :( Here is my story...
Last week my cousin informed me about this so called mouth watering Ramly Burger infront of 7-11 at Ampang (near the International school & SPCA). I read few blogs and reviews about the place complete with YouTube videos. Most of them claimed that the stall made the best ramly burger in town. I was tempted by the look at the pix and videos.
I was eagered to try it and tonight I had the opportunity to check out the place. Went there with Pidah. Ordered special beef for me and special chicken for Pidah. We saw the hot pan were covered in oil/grease. So the burger patties were actually half deep fried not grilled. To our surprised the eggs and cheese were also fried in those grease. "Hmmmm...no wonder it is sloppy...the grease made it sloppy rupanya" I said to myself. I didn't see lea & perrin sause around so not sure if the stall owner use it in his burger like other bloggers informed me earlier. Paid RM7 and got in the car. We open our burger wrappers...had out first bite and kuang kuang kuang kuanggggg...dissapointed to the rooftop! huaaaaaa what a spoiler. Not only it doesn't taste as good as we expected...it doesn't live up to the standard of the ramly burger I made at home. It was very greasy...the chilli sauce not spicy enough...and not enough vege (only 1 slice of cucumber and a small chunk of cabbage and chopped onion).
Both of us suddenly remember the best ramly burger we ever tasted years ago at a Ramly stall infront of MacDonald Jalan Silang. My college was just across the road so I was a regular there during lunch hour...always ordered beef burger with everything extra! extra mayo extra vegs extra chilli and extra tissues/napkin. I just said "Bro! daging 1 semua lebih ek!". Always ate my burger while sitting on the flower bench next to the stall looking at people cramping around the wheeled stall waiting for their burgers. It was sloppy and slurpy...the BEST I've ever tasted TO DATE. Me and Pidah were wondering where are that bro now. For sure he wasn't at Jalan Silang anymore. Last time I bought his burger was in 1999 where he already moved his stall behind MacD (between MacD and Kenny Rogers). Haven't seen him since. BRO!!!!! I miss your burgerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.................
So two thumbs down for this well known Ampang Ramly burger from me and my cousin. Sorry mate...we may not be on the same page as you guys are if you still say the burger is the best you ever tasted.

My Fascination : Double Rainbow

Can you spot the second rainbow from the 2 images above? Look harder if you still could not see it. At first I didn't realised there were 2 rainbows...I was very excited snapping photos while Pidah helped clearing the screen (coz it was raining). Only after few shots I saw the second blurry rainbow next to the bright one. Isn't it wonderful? Never in my life I witnessed such a magnificent view of Allah's creation.
Here's another 2 of the images I managed to captured:

My Story : Open House and Secret Recipe
Today I accompanied Pidah to an open house of her friend Ija at Kelana Jaya. Ija's husband is a local footballer currently playing for UPB-MyTeam club. There were few other footballers around during our stay. Couldn't recognised them...except for one guy that looked quite familiar to me. They all maybe well known to those who follow Malaysia league...I don't!! Ermmm I used to (until 1995) but not anymore.

Man United vs Arsenal 3/11/2007
Game : Barclay's Premiership
Date : 3/11/2007
Result : Man United 2 - 2 Arsenal
I totally forgot to update my blog on Man United last game against Arsenal. Really not in the mood to do so. United lead 2 goals to 1 but what should have been United's game turned to a draw when Arsenal equalised just before the game ended at minute 90.
I can'tput the highlight in this blog as I couldn't find a single video available in YouTube. Every highlights posted there had been removed with the message "This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by NetResult"...what the toottttt!!

My Story : Trip to JB Part 2
Woke up early at 6am...performed prayer and fell asleep again til 7am. Everyone already awoke. Around 8am we left hotel for final touring...but 1st we looked for a place for breakfast. I was so not wanting to eat in another Mamak's but they're everywhere. I was so desperate! We went to this Nasi Padang restaurant but they only got lontong and the lauk pauk for lunch. No nasi lemak or plain kuih muih...I was boiled!!! And decided to entered whatever restaurant/stall we found next...so we ended up at Mamak's...very unpleasent ambient and the food were tasteless. Arghh what with us failed to find a decent place to eat. We're just hopeless case I guess.
So moved on...We went to the train station and bought our return tickets. I asked around for a place to buy dodol. My dad called last night and requested JB dodol. We went looking for it around the city but no dodol can be found. Mission incomplete! Then Pidah suggested us to visit Danga Bay again since we only covered half part of the area last night. Good idea since we're just going on circles there in the city!! We wanted to get on a little choo choo train at Danga Bay so we took a taxi there. On our way to buy train ticket we snapped some photos of the bay and confronted by a guy asking if we're interested to take a boat trip that cost only RM10. The catch was we need to wait for another 2 passengers to made up 12 adults for the boat to sail. Not wanting to waste our time we went straight for cho choo...hehehe.
I needed something sour. We went to the food park nearby. Food is expensive here. A glass of lemon cost RM4...mee bandung RM5...mixed rice (fish, spinach and begedil) RM7. I don't mind if the taste is good but it just mediocre...Forget about JB food.
We hailed a taxi back to the hotel to finished packing and then checked out. 5 minutes walked to the train station and we're ready to leave JB. I don't know when will I be returning to this state but surely this is the last train journey to JB in a very long long time. Farewell JB...I had fun...and I had a mess of time here. Train left station at 2pm. It was a little kinda culture shock sitting in the economy class coach after a confortable journey on 1st class coach. The leg rest was not ergonomic that I've to put my back down my feet to make myself comfortable. Thank god I sit next to Pidah coz a plus size body like me on that small seat might caused body cramp not only to me but people next to me. lost the anxiety to take any photo along the journey coz We got a backhead coach. There goes my motion sickness again...but only for a short while..my dizziness went away right after I stuffed myself with Marry Brown chicken and nuggets. Fell asleep for 1 and a half hour...woke up...eat more...tried to sleep with no success. Looked around and just observing people around me. it was a very noisy coach. At Kluang came a malay couple who sat infront of my mom/our front row. I didn't realised anything until the guy moved to face his girlfriend. He just sat facing her all the way to KL. At first nothing suspicious about their behaviour but after a long observation...me and Pidah realised that they were actually smooching and snogging unlike Ron Weasley and Lavender brown in Harry Potter book. The guy even did some "massaging" and working his "garfu" up the girl's thingy...all under the coat wrapped around her body. What a view for me and Pidah...even my mom noticed their x-rated show. We gave some sarcastic remarks on them but they just so blur and stupid to realised we were on them. They just stupid malays!!! So cheap and desparate! Arghhhh...tension la ngan budak2 melayu zaman sekarang ni. Nampak cam educated tapi bongok! eeeeee...buat malu kaum je. I think even a chinese couple behind us noticed the malay couple actions from their view. I heard their giggling from behind. Shameful those fools!! Ish...buat dosa je aku ni kutuk orang.
Anyhow...the train made a long stop at Gemas station. At this time I already had bad headache and couldn't make myself to stand and walked around the station or even going to the toilet. I just sat there on a non moving train while my heart kept saying I need to make a walk. Finally I managed to take my butts off the seat and went to toilet...and the train decided to started moving while I was in the toilet....cheh...
The journey continued and the darkness of the night came to view (I closed the curtain all the way). I just can't wait to arrived at KL Sentral. Finally...at 8:45pm the train made it to its destination and off we jumped off the coach and made our way home...This is my story...and I know I could make it more interesting but I am to dried up to recalls everything that occured on this trip to JB and back again to KL.
Well next trip?! My mom wanna go to Ipoh...and that is where we're going to next time on the KTM train.
Til next time....ta ta...

My Story : Trip to JB Part 1
Arrived back safely in KL at about 8:45pm last night after a 6 hours and 45 minutes journey on a return train from JB. The train made an unexpected long stop at Gemas station causing our delayed arrival. We took the economy class coach instead of the 1st class coach we boarded on the journey to JB. My my my...it was a real double standard between those 2 coach types. My advice if you have extra bucks to spare on a train trip and don't mind spending double ticket price, do take the first class...less noise, more comfortable seat and leg rest, cleaner coach and toilet, fully functional automatic coach door and PA system...and you might not have to watch "live" X-rated reality show of a malay college couple making out from the front seat...seriouslyy! I feel like putting the video in here so you can watch it too hahahaha.
Well there are so many things I wanna write about but hardly know where to start. My cousin Pidah, my mom and me left KL on a 8:30am train for a 6 hours journey to JB. It was our first trip on a 1st class coach and we were enjoying ourselves taking photos. We were really excited. The 6 hours went so fast that we didn't felt like it was a long journey. The train made a 10 minutes stop at Gemas Station and we arrived at JB at 2:40pm.
Fist thing we did once we set foot on JB soil was looking for a hotel. First we went to this hotel called A Vista Merpati infront of train station. There was no tripple bedroom available so we moved to find another hotel. We went to Grand Paradise Hotel, previously named Causeway Inn at Meldrum street, situated next to a police station. We paid RM70 for a tripple bed room (RM90 with RM20 government rate discount). Don't expect much on a budget room but the room is big for 3 of us tho a bit run down. THe hotel is strategically located where taxis are available infront of the hotel and train station is only 5 minutes walk away.
We only started our touring in the evening where we walked around the city for food and ended up at mamaks we me and Pidah ordered Mee goreng and mak had roti telur. I found that here in JB city centre mamaks are everywhere. Then just continue walking down the street and made a quick hop in the Guardian to buy some stuffs. While we were inside there was this chaos that I didn't understand at first. Then I realised that there was a bashing happening outside the shop. Around 20 teenagers aged not more than 17 kicking and punching a boy around their age. Everyone just stand still and stared and Ohhh...Noo...Ahh...Heyyy....Eeeeee without doing anything including me. Everyone don't have the guts to butts in and tried to help and I don't blame them. These kids just terrified us. This group had helmets and sticks gripped in their hands...I believed they don't mind bashing anyone who tried to help. Police were around the city but no one was there when the incident happen. I just can't believe my eyes that I saw this thing happening right infront of me...I only saw this on TV. I'm in JB, in my own country...not in New York or Manchester. Even in KL I never seen such brutal fight. What happen to JB residents? Is this the price they paid living next to Singapore? Can we blame Singapore for things that happen to JB? I've no answer but seeing what I just saw made me wanna left the city instantly.
I asked a local lady a place for a seaside view and she recommended this place called the Zone. We hailed a taxi...The fare was RM6 (not using meter). It is a duty free zone but we're not here in JB for shopping so we just walked along the concreet shore and snapped photos and enjoying the sunset view. Later we took a taxi back to Hotel for Maghrib before going out again for dinner. Me and Pidah were craving for Ikan Bakar. We asked every taxi drivers but no one could provide us info on the best Grilled Fish/Ikan Bakar in town. I read earlier from the Internet about Yong Yong and Tip Tip Ikan Bakar but none of the taxi drivers suggested the place. So we went to a recommended "Singgah Selalu" place since it is at Danga Bay. I thought its a seafood restaurant but turned out to be a food court situated across the street from Danga Bay. To our GREATEST dissapointment the ikan bakar sucks...big time!!!! I wouldn't call it ikan bakar but Sambal Ikan. They don't have cicah KICAP or just plain kicap!!! Dang dissapointed again after an earlier dissapointment at Kuantan last month. I came all the way from KL for this?!! No way!!! Even Ikan Bakar Jalan Bellamy is better than this. If I got another night in JB I'll definately go to the first place in mind, the Tip Top Ikan Bakar at Tepian Tebrau. I said to Pidah that we need to go to Umbai and tried the ikan bakar coz people keep giving good reviews of the place. If Umbai still didn't satisfy my appettite...I just have to set-up my own business for Ikan Bakar. I remember Pidah made the best Terubuk bakar with cicah kicap cili last ramadhan...the wonderful aroma of smokey fish grilled on charcoal and not on a pan like most ikan bakar places these days.
Forget about the put-off ikan bakar and let me continue the story of our trip to Danga Bay at night right after the dissasterous dinner. Even the live telecast of Man United vs Arsenal couldn't brought myself to enjoy the meal. We left the food court right after Rooney scored the first goal. Although I was a little hessitant to leave after the goal...I've to moved on coz I'm on tour and there were places to visit that night. Crossed the street to anga Bay. There was fun-fair there and me and Pidah bought 5 game tokens for RM10. Failed to win anything heheheh...and I still owed Pidah half of the paid tokens. We later walked along Danga Bay Street Mall and I bought Rojak Buah for super munchies. Then we paid RM10/person and entered a tanglong festival site to snap photos of beautiful tanglung designs. Actually the site was more beautiful from outside view than from the inside. We watched a short acrobatic performances and left the area. Mak Looked so tired so we decided to went back to the hotel and relax. It was a beautiful view of old buildings along the Lido beach on the way back to the city.
OK I'll stop here and continue later kay...

My Story : JB Here I Come!!!!
I'm too lazy to update this blog this week...Not that nothing interesting happen around me but I just can't get myself to blog. All I did infront the PC all the time were playing yahoo! pool and googled info about Johor Bahru...YEP! JB. I'm going on a 6 hours of choo choo trip to JB this weekend with my mom and my cousin Pidah. This is not gonna be a typical well planned trip. I just bought outward journey tickets for three of us...with no return ticket. We'll see what happen when we get to JB...either we're staying overnight or catch the late night train back to KL. Obviously I've no idea of our directions...but there are Plan A and B...and backup plan if things doesn't work the way it should.
We only plan this trip last week tho Mak been telling me since before Ramadhan how much she misses being on a train and she really wanted to go south on a choo choo. Last time we boarded KTM train was in 1998 to north for a holiday in Langkawi and it was fun and a great 10 hours experience. What is so great and fun about being on a very long journey by train here in Malaysia? Well I'm not sure how to answer my own question...but I can list few :
- my face wouldn't turn all blue and vomitt all the way like when I was on a backseat of a car or on a bus. Got it?! I always mabuk la on a moving vehicle but somehow not when I was on train...Tension tul!
- although the view is not as scenic as the one in european countries but I can still appreciate the exotic beauty of my own country. I don't know what to expect on this coming journey to JB but I sure love the countryside view of padi fields and old towns on a train to Arau years ago.
- laid back journey where I can collect my thoughts and let it wander aimlessly without having to ask myself "are we there yet!...are we there yet" over and over again. Can't do it when I'm taking a bus coz the only thing on my head would be how much longer I had to wait til I reach my destination. Traveling by train to me and my mom is not the medium of transportation to get to our destination because the train itself is one of our destination if you know what I mean. We want to be on it...to enjoy the ride...to see places we might never get the chance to see when we are on a bus or a car.
My next question would be : Why JB of all the places in Malaysia? No particular reason actually. It just my mom wanted to be on the train...since she already experienced the northern journey now she wanted to see what would it be like on a journey to the southern tip of peninsula Malaysia. As for me...I'm looking for a GOOD FOOD!!!! So where to go when we reach JB? not much of a historical nor artistic traveler so museum, galleries, historical building or palace would not be on top of my wanna go list in JB. There is this food stall with good reviews I've been reading about: Tip Top and Yong Yong Ikan Bakar stall at Tepian Tebrau. That is on top of the list. Danga Bay and Waterfront are definately 2 places to go. Since the three of us will be arriving around 2:30pm so might just walk around the city from train station and see what they got to offer us.
I'm all excited...already packed my things yesterday and now I'm about to pack for my mom. I'm using my traveler's backpack again for the first time after I came back to Malaysia 3 years ago. I don't know if Pidah finish packing her stuffs...but I'm sure she is as excited as I am bout the whole idea and taking our first weekend trip on public transport. We are not that used to "light traveling" as we always travel by car, where we can stuffed everything from our slippers to our blanket and bantal busuk...Its gonna be a challenge to fit everything in one not so big bag/backpack. Pheuhhh...hard work...
Well...I'm off to continue packing hehehehe..and surf bout JB...
Later mater...

My Story : About yesterday
Hectic day yesterday...been here and there from early morning til evening. At 6:45am I sent my mom to her office then went back home to fetched my dad and drove hime to Hulu Langat district office in Bangi. I then went to Pendaftaran Negara to get a copy of my birth certificate as I needed them for today's interview at Damansara. The officer informed that my record is not in their system and asked me to go to KL office at Maju Juction. Dang I've to wait for my dad first before I could go there. The time was 9:30am. Thank goodness my cousin Pidah was in the Immigration building just opposite to pendaftaran building at the moment. I called her up and we met for breakfast (only me as she was fasting). After breakfast Pidah went back to her office in KL and I drove back to Bangi. Abah called half an hour later...picked him up and headed straight home to send him back.
I then continue my journey to Maju Junction. Arrived there at noon. I was happy at first to saw the current waiting number was 2028 and my number was 2030. BUT I had to wait almost 30 minutes for the number to be called. Went to the officer and she told me to come back again at 3 to collect my document IF the record is in the system. If no record found then I wasted more than 2 hours waiting for nothing.
Its been a while since I went to this Maju Junction. I used to get blind reflexology massages in Souk At-tar before I found a better/nearer place at Taman Maluri. Nothing interesting about this shopping mall to me but luckily they got MOG optical shop here. I accidently 'clean' my spec in a washing machine last saturday and the frame broke in two. I managed to buy myself a new spec (blue colour youuu...) and contact lens (not blue la...clear one with power la).
Aiyo..to be continue....

Man United vs Middlesbrough 27/10/07
Glory glory Man United...Glory glory Man United...Glory glory Man United...and the Reds go marching ON ON ON!!!
Man United did it again with the magic 4 goals in 4 consecutive games. Impressive eh? Hope they will continue to impress us :) So far 4 is our lucky number. This time Nani and Rooney scored 1 each while Teves scored twice. Oh ya...in addition to last night's victory, Owen Hargreaves was back in the game after almost 2 months being on the side line. I was really rooting for him to shine in United team when they first signed him...and was very upset with his series of injuries...but I'll pray for his full recovery to perform well with other team mates.
Rooney and Teves played well together and it shown in this game...I'm happy for them :) Keep on scoring guys!!
Table source : http://www.manutd.com/
Can't wait for next week's game against Arsenal on 3rd Nov 2007. The No 1 position maybe a short while since Arsenal only had 9 games, down 2 games compared to United 11 games but let us Mancunians around the world celebrate our moment of glory being on top of the chart again this week and let us see what comes on Saturday/Sunday.

Home-based Job Scam
My mother have been scammed by a company called Global Master Management located at lot 8-1-6, 8th Floor, Wisma Cosway, Jln Raja Chulan, 50200 Kuala Lumpur.
Last 2 week mak inform me that she was responded to an ad for home-based data entry job. I was already felt sceptical about the whole idea but she insisted to try it. So she went through an interview conducted by this company and was promised 5 assignments per month for RM500 on each assignment. Sounds fishy isn't it? To add salt water to this fishiness the company asked my mom to pay RM159 for consultation fee. She went back to this agency the next day with the money although I already adviced her not to but she simply said "let me try...mana tau betul. Kang tak betul aku report polis je"...sigh...OK la...go la...my mistake was I didn't check on the Internet bout this company first so that I can proof to my mom the whole thing is just a scam. Last saturday a guy named Iskandar called her to inform that he will be the one handling my mom's account and everything will go through him. He promised my mom an assignment in a week time.
Just now another guy called Daniel from GMM called her to asked whether she received any call from the company who promised her the job. He also said that he will be handling her account and he'll look for other job from another company since the earlier company didn't contact my mom. It was then my mom realised all was a scam by this conultancy company. Now I am browsing through the net and came across numerous posts on consumer forums where people shared their experienced being scammed by the same company...how I wish I checkout these forum earlier...
Next week me and my mom will go to this company...Beware of those who pissed my mom off...you are bullying the wrong person...I saw the worst of her once and even me felt like creeping under the desk when she fire and blasted away her anger...
So this post to be continued next week...

My Story : Dull Life
I need activities...life seems so dull these days. Made plan for movies and bowling yesterday but ended up just chatting thru dinner at Hartz Chicken buffet and later at mamak's MZ Corner. My friend sent me home but instead of going inside I decided to had a night cruise and drove myself to drive-thru Burger King somewhere along MRR2. When I got there I realised the time was already half past 1 so I changed my direction back to cheras and headed to downtown KL.
At 2am the place was cramped with people...mostly young families with their baby and little kids. Looking at them I was thinking how time changed the culture I grew up with. Back then nights were the time when most people spent time at home with their families. Before midnight, kids were already in beds sleeping through their dreams. Now I saw parents pushing babies in strollers at 2am wandering through booths. Poor child I thought to myself. In future these parents can no longer scold or blame their children if they become "night crawlers" coz they will simply point their fingers back at the parents saying "Its your fault!". Nothing fancy about this downtown...bundles and bundles and bundles and nothing more.
Since I was already on the wheel might as well I enjoyed the night/early morning view of KL so I just drove around Bukit Bintang and Jalan Ampang where I came across 2 police road blocks and numbers of police cars stopping drivers along these roads...hmmmm of all the nights they chose friday night...clever la these policemen pilih time kan? Don't wanna make any remarks on them or they'll sue me (hahaha like they will read this blog...duhh)
Before headed home I tried the SMART tunnel for the first time...It was creepy driving alone with no other car behind or infront in the tunnel...All by myself. I had bad ideas floating in my mind until I saw the dark sky at the end of tunnel...what if penyamun was infront waiting to stop my car right after this turn...or what if my car broke down in the middle of tunnel...or what if towman purposely spread nails on the road to pau you...or what happen if the tunnel suddenly blown up...or the fan systems collapsed on my car or...how long will it takes for the tunnel guard to get to me if I had accident...I think too much I know...just wanna prepare myself for the worst but alhamdulillah nothing happen. I took the Cheras exit and went to my parents favourite mamak's to tapau the roti canai they requested before I left the house. Seeing me entering the restaurant alone, few of the staffs asked bout my parents coz they havent seen my parents for almost a month...wow memang muka regulars la...Just told them my parents were too sleepy to come waited for the roti canai and then deove straight home.

In Loving Memory of Boboy (2004-2007)
I was introduced to Boboy in mid 2005 when my mom brought him home from her office. He was almost 1 year old when he joined my family. He was different than the rest of my cats. Black...wild, foxy looking cat with unusual coat pattern I've ever seen here in Malaysia. He was special. At first he was a very sensitive but independent pet that always refused to be touch let alone to be held or clinged. Only last year he started letting us touched and cuddled him for a short while...and later shown his affections earlier this year.
He was diagnosed with Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) like HIV few months after living with us. Since then he'd been in and out of vets but nothing as serious as last week. It was very unfortunate for him coz we were celebrating Aidilfitri when he fell ill and we were busy to care for him much believing that he only had his normal cold & cough. However I realised that his condition worsen everyday and only on friday we noticed that he might be in his last stage of FIV. Vet clinic that treated him close on weekend so we had to wait til monday. Went to a pet centre in Taman Segar that first treated him during his earlier FIV stage to buy his medicine but they refused to sell it without bringing Boboy along. I couldn't let him being treated there as I couldn't bare the medical costs. On monday I sent him to his vet although I knew he cannot be saved. The vet told me and my dad that he was very weak and already had a serious pneumonia but there is a chance for him to survived (she just said it but I saw her sad face while preparing various injections). He was not being admitted so I understand myself that Boboy was a goner...nothing can be done except to bring him home...care for him and preparing him for his final moment...resting and coming to realisation and acceptance that his 2 years life expectancy finally came to end (although we did expected him to survived longer by the look at his health last month).
This morning Boboy passed away at about 11am and I burried him alone around 12:30pm at my pets cemetary (my backyard). Well his mate Olie was there too...eating the "akar menggatal" I often fed them both whenever I went to this small backyard. Before I burried him, I inform my dad that boboy had died but he asked me to wait for a while afraid that he might still be alive. I informed my dad that Boboy died an hour ago but I had to make sure that he really left this world before I gave him the bad news. I then phoned my mom and told her bout Boboy departure. She took it well but still sadden of the fact that she couldn't see Boboy for the last time although she already told him this morning that she love him and willingly let him go to end his suffering right before going to work.
He faught his illness bravely and led a wonderful pampered life for more than 2 years after being diagnosed with FIV(not HIV as I mentioned earlier). The time had come for him to end his suffering. Me and my family will miss him alot...while we are griefing for his loss I can hear rats outside my house celebrating his passing. He was the greatest rat buster my family ever had which maybe the caused of his last battle because he ate virus spread rats/mice almost everyday for the past month. His immune system weaken every second of his life and his body cannot protect anymore disease or infection. Boboy was not a type of cat to be kept in cage. He was a 'taiko' in and outside my house and around Jalan 34-B neighbourhood.
It was my intention to make a tribute to him right after I burried him but my PC decided to perform a mourning day by refusing my logon again even after I reformatted her. Something is very wrong with that PC! Its not the application problem...must be some hardware failure. I'll look into the matter later coz now I'm still grieving for Boboy...the sokoke cat.
I'm blogging at my cousin's house. I just cannot stay at home...the memory of Boboy kept coming back to me. I cried over him...I even dream of him when I had a 5 minutes nap in the evening. He was not as close to me as my mom and my dad but he was part of my very small family...and I considered him as my furry brother. It felt like I was lossing my own adik.
Boboy...I love you...and I let you rest in peace. Thanks for the memories and joy you brought to the family. Me abah mak and Olie will miss you...but we know you are leaving us for your own good so...FAREWELL my dear SOKOKE CAT.

My Story : 4 Days In 1 Post
Been 4 days since I last updated this blog. Is this the sign that this blog will be deserted soon? Hope not! These were the things that happen to me this past few days.
Saturday
Supposed to buat makan2 on this day but postponed to sunday coz I need to fully recover from my fever first. Forgot to inform one of my friends, Wawa about the change in plan. She called to say she's on the way to my house while I was getting ready to leave the house. Until today I know she still upset with me coz she and her family drove all the way from Rawang to Cheras to beraya. Sorry Wawa! I asked her to come anyway (for kuih raya) but knowing I was planning to go out she decided not to come and headed to Jusco. Me and my mom then went to beraya at my cousin's house. Later we shop at Jucso Maluri for makan2 on sunday. Met Wawa there...awkward moment between us as I know she still pissed off with me hehehehe but I can't change anything but to live with it. By the way she didn't come on sunday makan2 nor replying my sms. She'll get over it...
Sunday
I invited some of my closest friends to makan2 as I am not planning on Open House this year. My dad, mom and me made our own food so thats why there were 3 different type of food on the menu : nasi minyak with dalcha, acar and ayam madu (mostly prepared by my dad), Mee Curry (prepared by my mom) and spaghetti (prepared by me). We were craving for these food since last week when all of us caught the fever/flu so sunday was the redemption day :)
I'm happy that most of my friends turned up. Pidah as usual was the first to arrived (she's a family + friend=famiend? ahaks) and Noli and family were the last to came at night, right before I cleared the table. Thanks guys for showing up. Appreciate it very much.
Monday
2 sad events occured to me simultaneously yesterday. My cat Boboy was dying and my PC refused to logon. Hoping that it was not too late to rescue Boboy, I brought him to vet knowing the chances to survive are very slim but possibility is there. He survived the 2 years of his critical HIV live so he might survive this one out although the vet said he's body is too week. Before that my computer decided to RIP just when I needed to use it the most! No way I'll let it die!! Tried every efforts to login but failed. Maybe she's angry with me coz I let a guy touched her the other day and then I "naked" her (well I only lifted of her casing) infront of him. He is only my pet bro la...nothing to be shy about! Anyway I decided to wiped off half of her memory by reformatting C drive and wallaa....she's as good as new...ALMOST (reminded me of that DiGi ads when the yellow toyol jumped off the rocket with parachute). Padan muka I lost a lot of important documents and photos as I often let those files in C drive instead of D drive.
Today
Boboy is in a very critical moment of his life as I saw him having difficulty breathing about 5 minutes ago. I have come to terms that he's not gonna make it and now struggling for his last breathe. I cried and weapped with him while I wiped his coat and clean his face. I just said my farewell and told him that I'm ready to let him go if that is the best thing for him. Last night I saw him in pain as he gripped my fingers while I gave him his medicine but I just couldn't let him go yet. Now when I saw him and heard his breathing sound my heart is ready to let him go in peace...I'll always love him and I'll remember him and the joy he brings to me and my family especiallyto my dad.

My Story : Raya Fever
When I said fever..I mean it literally. Runny nose on the third day of Raya and now fever. Sore throat, coughing, vomitting, muscle pain, headache...u name it and I got it. Was it the food or the excitement or the stress or simply the weather? Guess it is a bit of everything contributed to my current state. I am too damn dried up today. Can hardly take my butts off the bed this morning. Paid my price for a day out yesterday knowing I wasn't up for it.
I had both great fun and lousy health all together yesterday. Caught in bad fever in the morning...I still sent my mom's to her office and went back for another round of sleep til 12.30pm. I planned to upload my digicam photos at my mom's office but I was late to Nik's house for beraya session. Arrived at Nik's at half past 1. She cooked especially for me so how can I turn her down by saying I lost appettite due to the lack of smell and taste. Appreciate your effort of spending the whole morning cooking Nik! I did miss her cooking. Don't expect anything "normal" when Nik is in the kitchen as she is very adventurous when it comes to preparing healthy food and combining ingredients.
My pet bro Ali joined in an hour later. Despite my headache and sore throat, we had great evening talking and capturing sweet memories of our time in UK. I received a phone call from my cousing requesting some photos in my digicam. Now I remember why I need to make the upload. Thought I still could make it when picking up my mom in the evening. But soon a plan for a quick outing came out of the three of us since its been a while since we all spend time together and that was when I had my headache...still don't want to let them down so I grab 2 ponstan and walla...good to go.
I sent the car to my mom's office with Ali following behind then headed to the recently open New Garden at Midvalley megamall. Totally forgotten about the upload thingy. Browsed around the shops/boutiques. Honestly speaking the place is just not my kinda place to hang out. Too posh for an average girl like me. I'll stick with Jusco that fit my eyes, pocket and purse...hmmm made me realised that I don't have purse!! I only have pouch bag I carry around like nyonya sayur...minus the amound of money she had in hers. Need to buy a purse la...Jusco here I come!!!
Back to my yesterday...After New Garden we went to Uptown for dinner. I had Char Kuey Teow (not bad....just lack of kicap/soy sauce) and hot lemon tea. More chit chatting for another 2 hours. By this time I felt like a sick cat already. with cold and sweating...my mood quickly swung and Nik noticed my condition and called it a day. Thank goodness!!!
At home...found my bed and I passed out instantly without even bathe or change...woke up at 10am....10 hours of uninterrupted sleep and woke up with headache and back pain! What the tutttt...tired of sleeping I switch on this PC and here I am...blogging.
Anyway Pidah if you are reading this...say sorry to Nurul bout the photo kay.

Update this afternoon 17/10/2007 :
My mom came home during lunch hour. She must be bored in the office with nothing to do. At first I thought she took an MC coz everyone in the family now got the infectious flu (thanks to me) but my mom only came back for break. I can't stand being at home listening to my dad's "aduuhhhh.......demam....." moaning over and over so I followed my mom back to the office to upload photos and update this blog with the photos. What a dissapointment!! The internet connection is down from yesterday until tomorrow!!! Dang!!! Spending the whole evening trying to connect using all sorts of ways I can think of from streamyx to jaring from using router to direct connection without any success :(

My Story : Night Out Around Town
Yesterday evening I joined a small gathering with old friends from college at Suria KLCC. Spent the evening buka puasa updating each other's life and sharing info about other AIMians. I had a great evening with them...while at the same time watching the live telecast of Soyuz-TMA-11 launching, the rocket that carry Malaysia's first astronaut Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor from the TV screen at 4th floor RASA foodcourd. Yep...we were having our gathering at foodcourt and not in a buffet restaurant like we planned earlier.
I ate Asam pedas Wantan Mee with a glass of Ice Lemon Tea and a black coffee. The mee tasted "pelik" and I had hard time swollowing. Ended up eating just half of it. Not sure whether it was the excitement of chatting with friends or the mee is indeed taste a bad as it looked. Lucky me...the drinks covered it well...the coffee is good. Never like the fodcourt drink before but thumb's up for the Kopi O I had yesterday.
Came back home at 10 and out again around 10.30pm with my cousin Pidah. The plan was to picked up my other cousin Nurul who is coming back for Hari Raya at Puduraya station around 1:30am. We left early to window shopping at Jusco Maluri where I decided to have my second meal at McDonald. I was so hungry that I had large happy meal of BigMac. The actual "Large" in McD is pathetic. A large coke is actually just medium size and the fries were too thin. Maybe I'm saying this coz I'm a Whopper girl where large is large and big is big. Poor westerners who dine in McD expecting the large potion here is the same as the one in their countries. Ahhh..forget it.
Lets continue...spent time at McD til 12 then headed to Tesco Ampang where my cousin unintentionally bought herself window blinds. Left Tesco at 1am. Pidah (who was driving) felt very sleepy...made a quick stop at Mesra Petronas to buy our night booster Nescafe Original. After an instant "refreshing mind, body and eyes" we later took a night cruise around town from Jalan U-Thant to Jalan Ampang to Jalan Sultan Ismail to Jalan Bukit Bintang back to Jalan Sultan Ismail to Jalan Dang Wangi to Jalan Raja Laut to Jalan Kinabalu to Jalan Travers to Midvalley to Jalan Maarof to Jalan Parlimen and lastly to Jalan Tun Perak and waited for Nurul infront of Maybank Tower. She arrived around 2am and we went straight home.
Unfortunately my digicam's batery was dead flat I can't snap photos of beatiful KL and some interesting events that took place along our way like the empty street of Jalan Sultan Ismail, the massive traffic jam along Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman at 1:30am and vehicles from vans to 4 wheels to kancils parked on the road dividers near Campbell.
Back at home I forced myself to sleep with great difficulty. How can I sleep with Ice Lemon tea, Black coffee, Coke and Nescafe all consumed in less than 6 hours? Phenylalanine plus caffeine=increased energy level...what did I do with the excessive energy that I had? Channel it into cleaning and reshuffling stuffs in the kitchen til dawn. What a night/morning...

Aidilfitri Mood : Favourite Raya Ads
I don't have anything bout me to blog. But since I'm in Aidilfitri mood I'd like to share some of Aidilfitri advertisements from petronas. Every year Petronas came out with interesting story. The messages are very deep and meaningful with beautiful cinematography...and more importantly the values each of these ads carried within their storylines are priceless. These ads can make you cry...make you smile...make you laugh...or just make you wonder about your own life.

David Armand aka Johann Lipowitz
I was looking for Natalie Imbruglia's song Torn on YouTube to put on this blog when I came across a mimed version of the song "impersonated" by this guy called "Johann Lipowitz". I was so impressed with him that I wiki him and found out that the name is just a character to potray an Austrian "interpretive dance artist". His real name is David Armand, an english comedian and actor. He made mimed version of songs and you can watch it all here! Check out the lyrics while watching and you'll understand his interpretation better. Enjoy!
Torn - Natalie Imbruglia
1) Live during Amnesty gig. Secret Policeman's Ball)
I thought I saw a man brought to life
He was warm
He came around like he was dignified
He showed me what it was to cry
Well you couldn't be that man I adored
You don't seem to know
Or seem to care what your heart is for
Well I don't know him anymore
There's nothing where he used to lie
My conversation has run dry
That's what's going on
Nothing's fine I'm torn
I'm all out of faith
This is how I feel
I'm cold and I am shamed
Lying naked on the floor
Illusion never changed
Into something real
I'm wide awake
And I can see
The perfect sky is torn
You're a little late
I'm already torn
So I guess the fortune teller's right
I should have seen just what was there
And not some holy light
But you crawled beneath my veins
And now I don't care
I have no luck
I don't miss it all that much
There's just so many things
That I can't touch I'm torn
I'm all out of faith
This is how I feel
I'm cold and I am shamed
Lying naked on the floor
Illusion never changed
Into something real
I'm wide awake
And I can see
The perfect sky is torn
You're a little late
I'm already torn
Torn
hoooooooooo hoohooooooo oooooooo
There's nothing where he used to lie
My inspiration has run dry
That's what's going on
Nothing's right I'm torn
I'm all out of faith
This is how I feel
I'm cold and I am shamed
Lying naked on the floor
Illusion never changed
Into something real
I'm wide awake
And I can see
The perfect sky is torn
I'm all out of faith
This is how I feel
I'm cold and I'm ashamed
Bound and broken on the floor
You're a little late
I'm already torn
2) Second clip of Torn from his single performance
Whenever I Lay My Eyes (That's My home) - Paul Young
By the look in your eye I can tell you're gonna cry.
Is it over me?
If it is, save your tears
for I'm not worth it, you see.
For I'm the type of boy who is always on the roam,
wherever I lay my hat that's my home,
I'm telling you that's my home.
You had romance, did you break it by chance
over me?
If it's so I'd like for you to know
that I'm not worth it, you see.
For I'm the type of boy who is always on the roam, mm,
wherever I lay my hat that's my home,
mm, that's my home.
Oh, you keep telling me, you keep telling me I'm your man.
What do I have to do to make you understand?
For I'm the type of guy who gives girl the eye,
everybody knows.
But I love them and I leave them,
break their hearts and deceive them everywhere I go.
Don't you know that I'm the type of man who is always on the roam,
wherever I lay my hat that's my home.
wherever I lay my hat, oh oh, that's my home, mm yeh,
that's my home
and I like it that way.
Don't Look Back in Anger - Oasis
Slip inside the eye of your mind
Don't you know you might find
A better place to play
You said that you'd never been
But all the things that you've seen
Will slowly fade away
So I start a revolution from my bed
'Cause you said the brains I had went to my head
Step outside the summertime's in bloom
Stand up beside the fireplace
Take that look from off your face
You ain't ever gonna burn my heart out
And so Sally can wait, she knows it's too late as we're walking on by
Her soul slides away, but don't look back in anger
I heard you say
Take me to the place where you go
Where nobody knows, if it's night or day.
Please don't put your life in the hands
Of a Rock 'n Roll band
Who'll throw it all away
I'm gonna start the revolution from my bed
'Cos you said the brains I had went to my head
Step outside cos summertime's in bloom
Stand up beside the fireplace
Take that look from off your face
Cos you ain't ever gonna burn my heart out
And So Sally can wait, she knows it's too late as she's walking on by.
My soul slides away, but don't look back in anger
I heard you say
So Sally can wait, she knows it's too late as we're walking on by
Her soul slides away, but don't look back in anger
I heard you say
And So Sally can wait, she knows it's too late and she's walking on by
My soul slides away, but don't look back in anger, don't look back in anger
I heard you say
At least not today.

Impressive eh? Not the menu...but the prices. Can you find anything below RM40? Yes but after adding the ++ (for 15% tax) every buffet will cost us over RM40. How much can you eat during buka puasa? Not much if you have less than 1 hour! Why 1 hour? Off course you have to pray la kan? Unless you perform maghrib before going to this buffet or left the buffet in the middle of iftar and comes back later than fine (which I doubt most people would do coz everyone knows it too well that all good food will be gone when you come after iftar).
Ramadhan is a holly month for all good deeds and a way to appreciate those too poor to even eat and drink. Spending RM50 to Rm100 per person for buka puasa??? Crazy! Imagine 7 person dining in a buffet of RM75 : 75X7 = R525. That's why I said over-priced ramadhan buffet is a waste of money and those who went for it is laute. Well no i'm not using too strong of words but the fact is there...just open our mind...and our heart to see the truth behind this irressistable buffets everyone's kept bragging about when deciding where to go for ramadhan gatherings.
