Man United vs Aston Villa 30/3/2008
Date : 30/3/2008
Result : Man United 4 Aston Villa 0 (still in the game)
Goals : Ronaldo 17', Tevez 33', Rooney 53' and 70'
I'm multitasking...blogging and watching the live match at the same time. Man United strengthen their epl lead with tonight's victory over Aston Villa...still in the 77 min of the game but my team already secured their win unless Villa calls for help from a wizard or witch in the magical world of Harry Potter.
Man United will play against Roma on Wednesday morning in the first leg tie of Champions League...

DIGI and their Lousy Promotion
My mom received this sms from Digi on thursday :
Special Promo on Bonus Points! Grab a handset worth RM299 with 3000 points redemption at Midvalley North Court 28-30 of Redeem intantly while stocks last.
I received this sms on friday :
Redeem handset worth RM299 with 3000 bonus points@ Digi R/show Midvalley North Court 29-30Mar. Only 80 units/day. First come first served. Counter opens @10am
Digi didn't mentioned the phone brand & model for grab so I checked their website and found this promo :
So not to be dissapointed like yesterday, this morning me and my mom came yo Midvalley again as early as possible to be the first in queue. Few people already there! I was actually the 7th in line. I've been queueing since 8am...and the booth only opened at 10am!
While waiting I've been informed that Digi will not give the same phone as the one for online redemption!! Instead they gave Sony Ericsson J110i like the picture below.
Hmmm...I won't make noises if Digi was honest in their promotion. I'm not picky when it comes to owning a phone coz I always prefer the basic functions without heavy loads of features like camera, mp3, IR or bluetooth. BUT with RM299 phone I expected more than what they gave me. I bought my dearly departed phone for only RM250 but still got the mms, radio, headset, ringtone composer and wap functions with slim body, anti-slip backcover and bigger screen resolution.
Oh ya...let me introduce you to my dead phone who comitted suiside last month by flying out of an open car window and landed on a tar in the middle of Jalan Semantan. Alhamdulillah I managed to retrieved the main body to save the sim card but couldn't find the battery and back cover.
*sigh* I better stop now...but still...thanks mom for the thoughts of letting me use the phone. Appreciate it very much...muahssssssss

Me and my Coming Birthday
Thank you to frequent visitors of this blog...good to know there are few people really read what I had to say. My statcounter showed 63 page loads since monday. So I really do owe you who came in here for the past few days an apology for not updating this blog as often as I used to. I have nothing interesting to share with you guys and to be honest, I'm experiencing lack of excitement in live at the mo...I need action!!! And I want it now!!! hehehehe...easy said than done.
Tomorrow is my birthday. Gheee I'm going to be 30 in less than 20 hours (considering I was born at 7.05am). Aiyo new decade already meh? so fast woo...Thank goodness age ain't nothing but a number :) Need to comfort myself because deep down I know I'm aging physically...mentally...spiritually...emotionally...socially and of course financially. Looking back...I realize that I am far from reaching my future dream. I'm still struggling at the bottom of my survival span when most people my age already accomplished half of their goals in life. I'm not envious of them nor that I care what other people think bout me. I am a late starter in almost everything that I do but I always get what I want eventually...alhamdulillah and insyaAllah.
Few days ago a friend of mine post some kind of personality traits based on the day you were born in her blog. I find it interesting so I'd like to paste it in here..hope you don't mind Cik Zai.
no.3----Anda adalah seorang yang berhati keras (erm...keras macam batu), pentingkan diri sendiri (I think so...in some ways), kuat agama (erk...insaf kejap) dan suka untuk mempertingkatkan kehidupan sendiri (hmmm...still struggling). Anda mempunyai masalah keluarga (so does everybody...masalah universal) dan anda dapat mengharungi dengan kesabaran anda (insyaAllah). Anda sangat pandai bercakap (huhuhu...I pendiam la. So shy one *blush*), wajah yang cantik (erkk...beauty lies in the eyes of beholder), jadi ke mana saja anda pergi anda akan dapat apa yang anda inginkan (I wish). Daripada hari lahir anda, anda perlu berkerja keras untuk berjaya (I notice that...nothing easy in this life).

Movie : Rule # 1 (Cantonese)
Went to Leisure Mall for a free movie Rule # 1...My pet bro won few complimentary movie passes and he was kind enough to share it with me ;) Thanks!
Rating...I'm giving 3/5. I would rate higher but I've seen a similar movie called Fallen starring Denzel Washington...so its not an original play. In the beginning, plots movements were too slow but after a while the pace started to build up. Although the storyline was quite confusing, I like the directions of this movie with many twists and turns giving different perspectives of whether it was a reality, dream or made up stuffs. It requires lots of concentration and focus on details to understand the actual events. The suspense scenes were a little stereotype...just like most horror films.
The female co-star Fiona Xie look so familiar. I thought she is an actress from Hong Kong but I can't recall any of her film or drama. I googled her name and...wallawehhh no wonder la I've seen her before...she's that Singaporean host of "Coffee Talk and Hawker Woks" from Asia Food Channel.

Nadia Akademi Fantasia 6
I've got a crush on this girl...hahahaha kidding! But really...she's sweet and beautiful but not the gedik type of girl. Being an 18 years old teenager, she look and act more mature than most of the girls in AF6. Smiling eyes...big voice...big hair...big talent...big potential...qualities that I believe will help her sailing through in Akademi Fantasia this season (hopefully...).
I wish her all the best. She reminded meof Farhan. She gave me goosebumps yesterday like farhan did to me 2 years ago. Go go go Nadia! I'm not a big fan of Akademi Fantasia...but I'll keep my eyes on her hehehehehe...(sounds so lesbo la...ahakss)

Me and Kunci Khazanah 2
I never thought of seeing myself on TV again until this morning when my dad knocked on my door at 6am just to tell me I was on Ria. Astro Ria make a rerun of the second season's Kunci Khazanah which I participated.
Thank goodness it was on a 6am slot...I believe (and hope) less than 0.1% of ASTRO subscribers ever watched Ria in the morning...pheuh.
I still can't get over 1 of the questions..."Apakah bulan ke-10 kalendar Islam?" with 6 letters where last letter L was already given. All the months jumbled up on my mind...the long ones...awal muharram...jamadil awal akhir...syaaban rabiul awal akhir. Then I got blank and asked agent for help. The answer : SYAWAL...I was like huh? The hint was there la...I was like...ghezzzzz....am I that stupid?!!
Here's the questions and answers for my segments taken from javajoh.blogspot.com

Salam Maulidur Rasul
Today muslims around the world is celebrating Maulidur Rasul...the birth of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W (peace be upon him) on 12 Rabi' al-awal. The Prophet died on the same day of his 63rd birthday.
Salawat and Salam to the Greatest Messenger of Allah...
I would like to share with you the story of prophet Muhammad. The information is taken from http://www.anwary-islam.com/, where you can get great stories on prophets of Islam.
Muhammad (pbuh) was born in Mecca ( Makkah), Arabia, on Monday, 12 Rabi' Al-Awal (2 August A.D. 570). His mother, Aminah, was the daughter of Wahb Ibn Abdu Manaf of the Zahrah family. His father, 'Abdullah, was the son of Abdul Muttalib. His genealogy has been traced to the noble house of Ishmael, the son of Prophet Abraham in about the fortieth descend. Muhammad's father died before his birth.
Before he was six years old his mother died, and the doubly orphaned Muhammad was put under the charge of his grandfather Abdul Muttalib who took the most tender care of him. But the old chief died two years afterwards. On his deathbed he confided to his son Abu Talib the charge of the little orphan.
When Muhammad was twelve years old, he accompanied his uncle Abu Talib on a mercantile journey to Syria, and they proceeded as far as Busra. The journey lasted for some months. It was at Busra that the Christian monk Bahira met Muhammad. He is related to have said to Abu Talib: 'Return with this boy and guard him against the hatred of the Jews, for a great career awaits your nephew."
After this journey, the youth of Muhammad seems to have been passed uneventfully, but all authorities agree in ascribing to him such correctness of manners and purity of morals as were rare among the people of Mecca. The fair character and the honorable bearing of the unobtrusive youth won the approbation of the citizens of Mecca, and b y common consent he received the title of "Al Ameen," The Faithful.
In his early years, Muhammad was not free from the cares of life. He had to watch the flocks of his uncle, who, like the rest of the Bani Hashim, had lost the greater part of his wealth.
From youth to manhood he led an almost solitary life. The lawlessness rife among the Meccans, the sudden outbursts of causeless and bloody quarrels among the tribes frequenting the Fair of Okadh (The Arabian Olympia), and the immorality and skepticism of the Quraish, naturally caused feelings of pity and sorrow in the heart of the sensitive youth. Such scenes of social misery and religious degradation were characteristic of a depraved age.

Pasta & Kuey Teow...
Chicken Pasta
1) Heat vege oil and saute garlic and onion.
2) Add chicken and shitake mushroom and cook until tender.
3) Season with a pinch of salt, black pepper and dried mixed herbs.
4) Add milk (I prefer full cream) and let the liquid reduce.
4) Add chopped tomato.
5) Mixed everything well to blend the tastes.
Kuey Teow in Meat Soup
That meat is not beef...it was Kijang/Antelope I think...not deer or doe or roe) ...very tender.
I'll post the recipe later coz suddenly I feel too sleepy to blog. Barely open my eyes...

Man United vs Derby 15/03/2008
Game : EPL
Date : 15/3/2008
Result : Man United 1 Derby 0
Goals : Cristiano Ronaldo min 75
Sing along with me!
Glory glory Man united,
Glory glory Man united,
Glory glory Man united,
As the reds go marching on! on! on!
Huhuhu...the Reds is on top of the Premiership. Sweet moment for Man United to lead the league with the advantage of 1 game over Arsenal. Lets hope they remain where they are right now...with 9 more matches to go.------------------------------------------------------------------
As for the Champions League update, Man United have been drawn to face Roma (again!) in the quarter finals. The first leg is at Roma's side on 1/4/2008 and the second leg at Old Trafford on 9/4/2008.
This is going to be the 3rd time in this season for United played against Roma. United won 1-0 at Old Trafford on 2/10/2007 before drawing 1-1 at Stadio Olimpico on 12/12/2007.
Last season my team steamrolled Roma in second leg with 7 -1, won the tie 8 -3 to advanced to Semi-finals. Roma will definately want some revenge for their terrible defeat. I'm excited to see what can both teams bring to the table this time around.

My Weekend without Telephone Line
Images below showed the root of my weekend suffering.
I was in the middle of experimenting multiple phone connectors when my land line suddenly went toneless on saturday morning. I tried to contact the usual Telekom fault reporting number (100) using my handphone but the no not valid. I called telephony and the rep gave me toll-free no(1300-888123). I made the report around 11am on saturday but didn't get any follow up from them. I called again at night bout 8pm but still no update tho I saw a cable guy worked on something in the evening.
On sunday afternoon my mom made the call again and raised her voice to the rep...finally the rep told Mak that the problem was due to a fault in the cable. Ermmm...not sure if it was really me causing the problem...It just didn't sounds right that making multiple connections from a single line could blew up the cable points.
Well...Hehehe...nevermind loh...as long as the problem is fixed then case closed...I checked the line just now and THERE"S A TONE!!!! Yeay....back online again huhuhu....I'm happy.

Manchester United Bulk Reviews
I just couldn't keep up with Man united updates. All the things that happened around me these past few weeks had taken my attention away from football. But I'm back now...
feeling both proud and dissapointed at the same time.
Whazzup Premier League...Hello Champions League...Bye bye FA Cup...Farewell treble trophies...
1) Barclays Premier League
My team still trailing Arsenal...but we're still 1 game behind them. Man United will play against Derby County this saturday night/ sunday morning. I am worry about this match because United need to win this game to top the league. If they lose, they might never catch up with Arsenal and Chelsie will take over United's position.
Here's the latest table taken from www.manutd.com :
2) UEFA Champions League
Man United won the second leg of the first knockout round against Lyon last week. Both temas draw 1-1 after the first leg so United is going through to quarter-final with 2-1 aggregate. Yeay!!!
The quarter final draw will be held today. These are the teams up for the draw:
- Manchester United
- FC Schalke 04
- AS Roma
- Chelsea
- FC Barcelona
- Fenerbahce SK
- Arsenal
- Liverpool
I'm nervous...but excited as well. Please let it not be another team from England. Just wait and see...
3) FA Cup
I felt very dissapointed that Portsmouth beat United in quarter final after the sweet 4-0 victory over Arsenal earlier. Its over now...lets hope United will go all the way in Premier League and Champions Leauge.
Match Schedules - March to April 2008
Till later..i'm chanting Glory glory man united...

World Kidney Day Turn Out To Be Worst Parking Day
In conjunction with World Kidney Day held every second Thursday in March since 2006, HKL (Kuala Lumpur General Hostital) is holding talks, exhibitions and health checks today from 9:30am to 5pm. There will be a series of talks. Chef Wan Ismail is also scheduled to conduct a demonstration on healthy cooking in the afternoon. There is also a cooking contest before the demonstration.
What I want to share with you guys is not about my kidney, nor the kidney day at HKL. I planned to write about my day at HKL but unfortunately I didn't join the event...because I couldn't find a parking space at HKL. I want to tell you how pissed I am (still)....and this is my story.
My mother and I were planning to take parts in this kidney event since last week. She already registered both of us for the forum/ talk. This morning I drove to HKL excited to broaden my knowledge and my self awareness on the importance of kidney and deseases prevention through a public forum which was scheduled at 9:30am. We arrived at HKL before 8:30am and looking at main entrance I was surprised that the place not pack with people like any other public events I've been to before.
At first I was glad that HKL is now using a parking system. I thought they managed to overcome the parking problem that haunted visitors who had to drive to HKL. How wrong I was...I saw parking signs everywhere but then...the spaces are for their staffs only. I followed confusing directions on a narrow drive alley where cars were parked both ways, yet no signs of visitors parking area. I went to the back of the hospital where I used to park but it was full. There was once a car park area that now has turn to some construction site. It better be a new parking lots.
My take on this unfortunate event is that HKL still cannot resolve the parking problem even after they introduced a paid parking system. Why can't they just bring down some of the old rundown single storey buildings surrounding the area and build a multi-storey building like PPUM(University Hospital) with organised parking allocation for staffs and visitors.
I never thought that I can't find a single space after circling around buildings few times. My mom and I were beyond frustrated that we then left HKL. We off to Tanglin for breakfast. I was so f-ing mad sampai perut krok krek krok krek.
To be honest with you, the last time I ate the infamous Tanglin Nasi Lemak was in 2001. Back then there was no food court like today....only a stall with folding tables and chairs on a dirt . But as I remembered, the food quality was great and the potion was more generous than what I had this morning. RM4 for a plate of half full nasi lemak with 2 1/2 pieces of sotong and a spoon full of chopped limpa. Aiyah makin untung makin kedekut...but if the taste is good takpa la tapiii *sigh* I officially crossed Tanglin nasi lemak from my list of "where to go for breakfast". They maybe well known and popular judging from the long queues and number of orders they made but sorry to say it just didn't satisfy my tastebud anymore la...
Okay liao...enough for today...enjoy your day! Oh ya...stay away from HKL unless you are using public transport...hahahaha...ciao.

Mind, Body and Eye therapy at IKEA
Spent the whole evening at IKEA in Mutiara Damansara yesterday with my cousin until the place closed. We wanted to clear our minds from the whole hypes on election and other hazy and fuzzy stuffs that surrounded us. IKEA is the best place for self therapy...better than retail therapy itself. Just let loose and venture your own imagination and creativity while enjoying their interior ideas. Of course you can't help yourself from grabbing few items as "souveniers" from your visit...but hopping from one showroom design to another is like finding yourself transfered to different world. Well at least that is how I feel everytime I go to IKEA.
Pidah bought few plants for her mom and herself as well as wall clock and some other stuffs. As for me...hehehe I only bought a RM5 green pot plant for my room.

My 2 Cents on the Post Election
So...we can put to rest the idea of Pak Lah taking full responsibility on his party failure to retain 2/3 majority in parliament. He did not feel sorry for his lose and he will not apologize to the people of Malaysia for his lack of sensitivity and credibility to run the country.
He just assumed the prime minister office for a second term this morning in what I believe a humiliating outcome for him. He surely made records of his own achievements. In 2004 he led the 90% landslide victory for BN, the highest ever in Malaysia history and this year he barely made 60% lead, the lowest ever in our history. This year BN won only 140 of the 222 parliamentary seats and 307 of the 505 state assembly seats. In 2004 election, BN won 198 of the 119 parliamentary seats and 453 of the same 505 state assemble seats.
A Short Note to PM
Assalamualaikum Dato' Seri,
You might still be in shock for the blow in your party after the election. Nothing you can do to clean the mess you've made. You ignored the voices of your people previously and the consequences are inevitable. Malaysians had spoken in silence through the votes as protess to your negligence to listen and inability to assessed people's need.
From now on please do the PM job you wanted so badly. They saw that you can't managed this country by your own and they knew your friends didn't helped you much to cover your acts before. Now that the people brought you their own representatives to help you in making decisions, work with the other parties they chosen to build back Malaysia.
Some do's for you :
1) Do improve your boring speeches. Brush up you communication skills and public relation etiquettes (didn't you noticed people around you yawned and banged their head on the walls or tables whenever you spoke? Most of them just don't bother about your presence. Asked those reporters and journalist).
2) Do work on your self presentation. (You do looked so weak and tired almost all the time. I know you got married to an active lady and a hyper-active son-in-law to care for. So take up some suppliments or do light exercises. Hire a trainer. Eat more healthy food or a gain-weight product if you must. Oh ya...eat tempe everyday for a glowing face as suggested by Thir Toyo) .
Some Don'ts for you :
1) Don't plan on another honeymoon...(I mean on your job laa...not your marriage which you can go once every 5 or 10 years but also not every year laa...)
2) Don't go for on-the-job leisure holidays...(you had enough fun for the last 4 years whattt. People already accused you for using their money intead of your own income to cover the expenses tau!).
3) Don't agree on interviews with international media especially CNN if you're not prepared or you can't find suitable suit for the occasion.(I can't face seeing you being humiliated by the interviewer. You will lose your credibility.
Thank you for reading this post...now I want to go back to my normal life. Life goes on...

Tun Dr Mahathir's Post Election Press Conference Transcript
You can read the transcript of Tun Mahathir's post election press conference taken from MalaysiaKini here.
I just want to highlight few of his comments that I find interesting:
Are you surprised by the results?
I think it’s shocking. Although I expected BN to lose but I did not think that they lost five states.I'm sorry that I made the wrong choice in Pak Lah. (You are forgiven...but the damage is done. Can't turn back time.)
I never expected a PM to reverse all the policies of the government. So I think the people on the whole must have been very angry. All the three communities, the Chinese, the Malays and the Indians, have reacted.
When you say ‘step down’, do you mean (from) Umno or PM?
I think he should (step down). The Japanese would have performed ‘hara-kiri’. I think that Najib (Razak) has done very well. He has scored an amazing victory, more than the 2004 elections. (Pak Lah will never leave his throne Che Det even if he is being pressured by everyone around him. And we are not ready for Najib to be our PM.)
Umno has retained more seats compared to the other component parties like MIC and MCA. Will they pressure Pak Lah to step down?
That depends on them to whether to apply pressure or not but the Barisan Nasional concept is still relevant. If there is no (MIC chief S) Samy Vellu, then find another Vellu.
What were the issues which led to the loss of the states?
Many issues led to the pent-up feelings of the citizens of which despite the economic growth, the people aren't feeling anything. They feel the rise in the cost of living a big factor. (We fed up of rising price issues in petrol and consumer products. The 6% economy growth is worthless when the inflation almost reached 2.5%)
They also see that this government is run by one family. When family takes precedence over cabinet, over government, then people will be against it.
(Yep the KJ issue...so tired of all this chronicle theory which sounded so believable and I actually bought it coz they seem to fit perfectly well)
Can you comment on Zam (Zainuddin Maidin)?
He won or lost? Oh, he lost. Well, the way he was campaigning was really funny, telling people to look at his face and how it doesn't change. But I think that a face that doesn't change can be very boring. Sometimes you must laugh, sometimes you must cry.He was telling everybody "Ini muka tak bertukar, tak bertukar". Who is interested in his ‘wajar’? If he was Britney Spears, then... (hehehe...good one Che Det! Serve him right for being kacang lupakan kulit.)
Will you return to active politics?
I won't return to active politics but if they want advice, I can give them. How can I return when once I stepped down they treated me like a pariah? (I agree with your decision. Don't jump into the fire of today's politic. You already leave an unmatched service record and I wanted it to remain a great legacy. However I do feel very sorry for what they did to you. You've done your best...tho you could do better actually. Let us see what happen next)

12th general Election - BN won Simple Majority
Been watching the election results on TV and cross ref with the online results since 8:30pm til 4:30am. Just finished discussing with my pet bro bout the greatest defeats in Malaysia history for BN in this election. I am now reading news and the analysis...3 minutes to 6am and not a single yawn. I am enjoying this moment...altho at the same time I fear the uncertainty that awaits my beloved country on how would this election shape the future administration.
Yes BN will form the government without clear mandate. Its gonna be tough for them but a very good lesson learnt. We, Malaysians had done our parts in sending messages to Pak Lah and his administration that we need pro-active changes.
Ghee...to be honest with you I am still in shock of what I saw tonight as I heard/read the results that were flowing right infront of my eyes. I did wished for BN not to repeat their landslide victory but I never expected they would failed to secure the 2/3 majority...and more surprised when opposition takes 5 states. Kelantan is a gone case for so long but for the opposition parties to rule Penang, Kedah, Selangor and Perak is too much to swallow. As for Wilayah Persekutuan, 10 parliamentary seats won by Barisan Alternatif enough to bring BN on the brink of humiliation. This year's general election mark the new era to Malaysia's political scenario. I am hoping for the best.
With all the chaos and confusions surrounded me and my family as we sat together sharing info and thoughts, Tun mahathir's name popped up from our mouths more than dozen times. Personally I felt sorry for my hero...and I was wondering what went through his mind at that moment of time when Kedah fell to PAS and Penang to DAP. Also...congrats to Mukhriz who won in Jerlun and Nurul Izzah's victory over Shahrizat for Lembah Pantai parliamentary seat. I'm so proud of both of them...mind the different umbrellas but I'm happy to see new faces carrying big names after their own. Good luck to both of them!
Here's the result taken from http://www.bharian.com.my/ as of 4am:
6:30am now....so I think its time to say goodbye for now and prepare myself to bed. Its going to be a quiet morning in the house til noon coz both my parents and myself are off for our good morning sleeps after bersengkang mata the whole night...once every 4-5 years ok la kan...hehehehe
